I am presently teaching at a university in Argentina (UNER) and I am planning to be in Edmonton at the time of your interesting Conference 2012, Beyond the Classroom, and I am wondering if I could take advantage of my trip to attend it. On one hand my concern is that in my work I advice on pedagogy at the ‘university’ level and the conference is targeting school teachers.
On the other hand I have no doubts that in any education level, taking the classroom to a relevant “site”, in our case food processing plants, school & community kitchens, and so on…is of great pedogogic value. In fact, it is done here occassionally.
My question to you, however, is that if your conference would be appropriate and useful for the terciary level educators and in particular to the science teaching in our faculty.
